Laura Vargas is an Andorran artist based in Seville who works under the creative name Kanica. Her colorful geometric compositions are influenced by Modern Art, the Bauhaus school and mid-century design.
In her hand-embroidered canvases, Laura adopts and revisits artisanal techniques, and uses natural and ethically sourced threads, such as merino and alpaca wool, cotton and jute.
Laura graduated in Modern and Contemporary Art History at the American University of Paris and Christie's Education London.
